Seafood restaurant with a pleasant and comfortable place, with simple decoration, it has TV screens where they broadcast soccer games and movies. Depending on the time it may or may not be full, service is faster before 1pm. The best thing on the menu is the encebollado, which goes beyond the traditional and has crab-flavored seasoning, very delicious and original. Without a doubt all the dishes are highly recommended and have very good presentation. The attention is timely, the staff very friendly in their treatment. The response time depends on the order, when ordering encebollado they serve it quickly but a ceviche or casserole takes about 15 or 20 minutes to wait, appropriate because the dishes are prepared at the time of ordering. Ideal to visit with family, friends or office colleagues. It does not have parking but the sector allows you to leave vehicles near the restaurant.

El Puerto is just five minutes from the airport by taxi (4 USD). Bring your luggage the staff will help you keep it out of the way. The beer is icy cold. They serve Cerveza Club (an Ecuadorean brand) and it is fantastic. The menu has a large selection of seafood options. Wish I could have tried them all. We ordered the appetizer sampler platter called Piqueo al Puerto and it was plenty for the two of us and just delicious. There were multiple deep fried options but the perfect combination of crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. It included, shrimp, calamari, octopus fish fingers and fried plantains (tostones). If you have a long layover at the Guayaquil airport, it is definitely worth the five minute can ride .

I was first impressed because even though we arrived with our dog, they offered to seat us inside. She's a nervous ninny so we opted to sit on their lovely patio. Our spanish is terrible but everyone was so kind and helpful. My husband and I each had fish. Mine was the herb glazed fish and his was fried. The meal started off with some fresh Italian bread that came with an amazing pesto type sauce, on the side. Both meals came with generous servings, including the sides of rice, fried plantain and salad with avocado. Both types of fish were delicious! The sides were great, as well. The fried plantains were the best ones that I've ever tried. Their texture was much like french fries. Alas, because we'd ate some of the bread, we both got full after eating most of the fish and salad. So, one of the kind waiters brought us a box to take the rest to go.

The food is great starting there, good service, the place is nice, it has a good location, the prices are not that high but it is worth treating yourself to El Puerto... they have 2 places to eat, inside. with air conditioning or outside in the open air... the place is very nice. Go!!

Wow, what can I tell you? ...Exquisite. A place to share and enjoy a delicious and traditional encebollado, accompanied by delicious shrimp, toasted corn, crispy and warm chifles and as a starter some slices of baguette bread bathed in garlic sauce. You will love it
